About
Mission
Our mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence by providing faith responsive compassionate support, advocacy, and education. We are committed to breaking the cycle of abuse through community engagement, prevention programs, and promoting a culture of respect, safety, and healing.
Vision
We envision a world where every individual lives free from violence, fear, and oppression — a world where healthy relationships thrive, survivors are empowered, and communities unite to end domestic abuse for good.
Core Values

Empoverment
We believe in supporting survivors to reclaim control over their lives, make informed choices, and build a future of independence and safety.

Safety
We prioritize the physical, emotional, and psychological safety of all individuals we serve, creating secure and confidential environments.

Compassion
We approach every survivor with empathy, dignity, and non-judgmental support, recognizing the strength it takes to seek help.

Equity and Inclusion
We are committed to serving all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, ability, or background. We actively work to dismantle systemic barriers and promote justice for marginalized communities.

Confidentiality
We respect the privacy and rights of those we serve, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and trust.

Collaboration
We believe lasting change happens through partnership — with survivors, communities, and other service providers — to build coordinated, survivor-centered responses.

Prevention and Education
We strive to break the cycle of violence through outreach, education, and advocacy that promotes healthy relationships and social change.

The Urgent Need for Muslim-Led Domestic Violence Support in Northern Virginia
There is no scalable, faith-based, and informed responsive DV support program for Muslim women in Northern Virginia.
- Faith leaders, staff, and volunteers are not equipped to properly handle DV cases.
- Survivors are left without culturally competent or faith-grounded resources.
- County and hospital services often lack alignment with the spiritual, cultural, and linguistic needs of Muslim survivors.
Our Response: A Professionally Run, Islamically Grounded Solution
- Founded by experts with decades of experience in DV intervention and prevention.
- Run by Muslims, for Muslims—trauma-informed and Islamically knowledgeable.
- Offers wraparound services
Rise and Rebuild is committed to being community-centered, working in partnership with local leaders and institutions to provide safety, healing, and empowerment for survivors—guided by both best practices and Islamic values.
